Killard offers access to many designated scenic walking routes, both along the nearby cliffs and also further afield, while geologists remain intrigued by the local rock formations. The area is also very popular with birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts.

The cottage is modern and detached, bright and airy and furnished to a high standard. The open plan ground floor living area of the cottage is finished with exposed ceiling beams and consists of a fully fitted kitchen with dining table together with a very comfortable sitting area complete with solid fuel burning stove. The cupboards at Killard Cottage are always stocked with basic starter essentials. Wooden floors are fitted throughout the property, the living area leads to a spacious double bedroom with en-suite shower room and patio doors at ground level. From this room a spiral staircase gives access to a connecting first floor mezzanine single bedroom with a sloping ceiling and a spectacular Velux window view.
Outdoors, there is a gravelled courtyard with furniture and striking views of the blissful Doonbeg Bay and Atlantic Ocean, together with the adjacent countryside.
